INSTALLING CUSTOM CUT RETRACTABLE WINDOW SCREENS
If you are installing a kit, please refer to the first 8 steps of the door kit installation guide
Step 1
Roll screen installation is usually completed inside window and door frames. We simply need the width and height dimension to within an 1/8" of the opening you plan to install the rolls screen in. The required depth to install the roll screen i is 1-1/2" or more. These measurements should be made at several locations of both width and height and the smallest measurement should be used.
If you don't have adequate depth to mount inside of the window jamb, we can provide an outside mount application. We still need the same width and height of the opening. We will produce the screen 4" wider and 3" higher then the dimensions you provide. This will insure proper space for mounting on the surface around your window.
Step 2
Note: if you order a kit, please refer to the first 8 steps of the door kit installation guide.
Secure to Wall
Attach the right end cap to the top right side of the window jamb. You may recess the screen as far as you want into the window jamb. However, most installations are placed at the outside edge of the jamb as shown.
Step 4
Secure to Wall
Attach the left end cap to the top left side of the window jamb. You may recess the screen as far as you want into the window jamb. If you do recess the end cap, make sure the right and left end caps are the same depth. However, most installations are placed at the outside edge of the jamb as shown.
Step 5
Secure to Side Pieces open both side pieces (unclip), introduce the box onto the side pieces and clip them.
Step 6
Assemble Guide Base
By pressure, insert the guide base with conical shape screw onto the lower end of the guides; please keep in mind that the outer brush should be fixed to the lateral side of the wall
Step 7
Install Guides
Introduce the upper part of the guides into the end with projects from the telescopic side piece.
Step 7
Secure Guides
Screw the guides to the wall by using the orientation device.
Step 8
Regulate Screw
Regulate the conical guide screw in such a manner that its cavities perfectly match with the bottom base of the box (aluminum end), so that the locking system is secured.
Attention
To work well, the screen must be fixed at perfect right angle to the wall.

INSTALLING CUSTOM CUT RETRACTABLE SINGLE DOOR KITS
If you are installing a kit, please refer to the first 8 steps of the door kit installation guide
STEP 1 - Test the screen tension and smoothness of operation. If you want to increase the tension, repeat steps 6 and 7. Tension should be set to firmly retract the screen. This is important to prevent the wind from blowing the screen out of the tracks. The smart screen uses a full-length magnetic catch so it can accept a lot of tension on the screen and still remain securely in place.
STEP 2 - Mark the positions for the recess clips about 2 feet down and up from the top and bottom of the door jam and one centered. Affix the recess clips with the screws provided.
If you are surface mounting the screen, use the included clips that attach to the housing. Then, simply attach the housing on the side of the opening with the inside edge of the housing even with the opening jamb Make sure the housing is plumb. The top of the housing will extend above the opening 2" and below approx 1". If the housing can't extend below due to a sill or floor, that's OK. That will simply mean the screen will be a little bit higher on top.
STEP 3 - Snap the housing into place inside the recess clips with a half-rotating movement. Ignore if mounting on the surface outside of the opening.
STEP 4 - Opposite the housing will be the side profile with magnetic strip inside. Cut the side profile to the exact measure of the height of the door jam. Drill three holes to the wider side of the side profile.
If you are mounting the screen on the surface around the opening, then ignore the above directions. If you are mounting the screen outside of the opening on the surface, then cut the side profile the same length as the screen housing assembly. This will be 3" more than the opening height measurement.
Then use the supplied clips and attach the side profile with the inside edge flush with the opening jamb. Make sure it is plumb and has the same amount above and below the opening as the housing does.
STEP 5 - Align side profile opposite the housing and affix to the door jamb.
STEP 6 - Measure from the edge of the installed side profile to the inside edge of the housing and deduct 1/4". Use this dimension for the top and bottom tracks. Slide the weather stripping out of the tracks before cutting the tracks.
STEP 7 - Replace the weather stripping into the tracks. "7". Crimp lightly the ends of the tracks to stop the weather stripping from moving.
STEP 8 - Position the top and bottom track. Center them inside the side profile and the housing. Affix with two screws per track. Place the screws closes to each end of the tracks. Slide the door back and forth. You're finished!
If you are installing on the surface, then use clips and attach to wall after positioning the tracks in place. If the bottom track is on the floor, follow the above instructions for an inside mount.

INSTALLING CUSTOM CUT RETRACTABLE DOUBLE DOORS
If you are installing a kit, please refer to the first 8 steps of the door kit installation guide
STEP 1 - Test the screen tension and smoothness of operation. If you want to increase the tension, repeat steps 6 and 7. Tension should be set to firmly retract the screen. This is important to prevent the wind from blowing the screen out of the tracks. The smart screen uses a full-length magnetic catch so it can accept a lot of tension on the screen and still remain securely in place.

That will simply mean the screen will be a little bit higher on top.
STEP 3 - Snap the housing into place inside the recess clips with a half-rotating movement. Ignore if mounting on the surface outside of the opening.
STEP 4 - If you are surface mounting, see Steps 10 & 11. Affix the housing into the recess clips and now is the time to install the top and bottom tracks. The top and bottom tracks have 3 parts each. Two top tracks with a top union and two bottom tracks with a bottom
STEP 5 - An easy picture description of the measurement that needs to be made in cutting the top and bottom tracks in order for the screens to close in the center.
STEP 6 - Measure the center mark between the edges of the housing. Add 1/8" on the stationary side and deduct 1-1/4". Cut the top and bottom track to this length.
STEP 7 - On the opening side add 1/8" from the center mark to the edge of the housing. This is the length of the top and bottom track. Cut both to that length
STEP 8 - Insert both ends of the bottom track into the slit on the housings. Attach the bottom union to one end of the bottom track and then to the other bottom track, push down to complete the bottom track assembly. Affix with a screw in the middle of the union. Repeat for the top track.
